Look for Gluten-Free Beer in ‘10

What’s new in the booze world for 2010? Last year saw the trends of mainstream “craft beer” (like Blue Moon and Michelob’s new hoppy offerings) and fruit-infused vodkas skyrocket. Big trends in beverages this year will probably be low-calorie and gluten-free beer: more beers will be made with millet, rice and buckwheat rather than wheat and barley. In fact, Budweiser has offered sorghum-made Redbridge (www.redbridgebeer.com) since 2006.
